Advisory Committee

In 1997, Boys & Girls Clubs formed the Native American National Advisory Committee (NANAC) to guide Boys & Girls Clubs in Indian Country.

NANAC's responsibilities include:

  • Providing direction on training and professional development needs for staff of Clubs serving youth in Native America and their families
  • Generating information and direction on current and future program needs
  • Providing input on issues facing Native Americans
  • Supporting the identification of resources to further BGCA services to Native Americans and to support new and existing Clubs in Native America
  • Lending their talents for specific activities such as training, identification of resources, and advocacy and expert technical assistance related to Native American issues
