Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"

– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK Day is a federally designated holiday created to honor the work of Dr. King each January with a Day of Service. As such, it is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service!

This year, on January 15, 2018 celebrate the work of Dr. King with Club kids and staff by taking part in youth-led service projects! Projects will look different for each Club and each community. No matter what type of project your organization commits to, make it fun! Getting youth involved in choosing the project will promote their engagement and cultivate a meaningful connection to their work.

MLK Day of Service is a day on, not a day off. It is a time to share the gift of giving with others. Is your Club participating? We would love to see what is happening in each community! If you are on Facebook or Instagram, use #NativeClubs to have your project appear on the homepage!
