The RGK Foundation Provides Grants for Youth

Looking for a grant to help support your program’s goals? RGK Foundation awards grants in areas including Education and Community. Within Community, the Foundation supports a broad range of human services, community improvement, abuse prevention, and youth development programs.

Human service programs of particular interest to the Foundation include children and family services, early childhood development, and parenting education. The Foundation supports a variety of Community Improvement programs including those that enhance non-profit management and promote philanthropy and voluntarism. Youth development programs supported by the Foundation typically include after-school educational enrichment programs that supplement and enhance formal education systems to increase the chances for successful outcomes in school and life (Sound like a perfect fit for Native Clubs). TechSoup Offers Technology to Native Boys & Girls Clubs

Could your Club benefit from up-to-date computers and current software? TechSoup is a nonprofit organization that connects Boys & Girls Clubs with discounted technology donations.

Club leaders this is for you! Sign up for free online, and then enter your Club’s information to check eligibility. Once your Club is registered, you can start requesting products and services from more than 45 donor partners! TechSoup also features online technical assistance exclusively for use by BGCA staff in addition to a hotline reserved for BGCA users.

Aric Cooksley, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County, has used TechSoup to acquire new, “open box” HP computers for two new technology centers. “I was also able to get 50 Microsoft Office licenses for $32 total,” he says, “Now we have brand new computers for Club kids instead of the ones we’d had since 2002.”

KaBoom Funding Available to Promote Healthy Lifestyles

Does your Club need a great play space for Club members? Or maybe your current space would be benefitted by new materials? Then KaBOOM! has opportunities with your organizations in mind. KaBOOM! is a national non-profit dedicated to bringing balanced and active play into the daily lives of all kids, particularly youth growing up in impoverished areas across the country. KaBOOM! offers grant opportunities to youth-driven organizations that will be able to integrate recreation equipment and spaces into new and existing health and wellness programs. Lannan Indigenous Communities Program

The Lannan Foundation is a family foundation dedicated to cultural freedom, diversity, and creativity through projects which support exceptional contemporary artists and writers, as well as inspired Native activists in rural indigenous communities. The Foundation has funded projects in indigenous communities focusing on traditional culture and education, language preservation, environmental protection, and more.

If your Club is seeking funding for a project which aligns with the Indigenous Communities Program at Lannan please take a minute to look at their grant guidelines as well as a detailed view of their funding process. Funding for the Indigenous Communities Program is contingent on discussions about your potential project with the Lannan Foundation program director.
