Loans & Grants Available for Rural Community Facilities

Clubs in rural and Tribal communities that hope to improve their facilities should consider applying for the USDA Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program, designed to provide affordable funding via grants and loans to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. Community-based non-profits and Federally-recognized Tribes in towns or Tribal lands with fewer than 20,000 residents are eligible, and funds can be used to purchase, construct, and/or improve essential community facilities; purchase equipment; and pay related project expenses.

Funding comes in the form of low interest direct loans, grants, or a combination of the two.

To learn more, contact your local USDA Rural Development office and speak to a Community Programs Specialist before attempting to fill out any forms or applications to save valuable time in the process.

Amount: Grant assistance is limited to a percentage (15-75%) of the eligible project costs, and varies depending on community size and median income level.
Deadline: Applications are accepted year round.
