The Taproot Foundation's New Online Marketplace

The Taproot Foundation connects nonprofits like your Club with passionate, skilled volunteers who share their expertise pro bono. Through the foundation’s Taproot+ program, business professionals deliver no-cost solutions to organizations through a matching process managed by the Taproot Foundation. Their new online marketplace allows nonprofit organizations to access highly skilled marketing, IT, HR, finance, and strategy professionals across the country at any time.

How It Works

Posting a Pro Bono project: Post your organization’s need to Taproot+ and they will help you spread the word and match you with an expert to address it. If you are unsure of how pro bono professionals can help your organization, you can consult with their Capacity Building Coaches to discover your organization's needs and get a recommendation.

Interview: Taproot will schedule a call between your nonprofit and their recommended volunteers. If you give the green light, the project moves ahead!

Find a Match: You can keep interviewing volunteers until you find the best fit.

Launching the Project: Taproot will send you project planning resources, such as a scoping document and template for setting a project timeline. Most projects can be done remotely, and everything is free. You can also learn how to manage your pro bono project with additional resources available from Taproot.
