2018 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is pleased to announce that it is seeking applications for funding to improve public safety and victim services in tribal communities! This solicitation provides federally recognized tribes and tribal consortia an opportunity to apply for funding to aid in developing a comprehensive and coordinated approach to public safety and victimization. DOJ’s existing Tribal Government–specific programs are included in and available through this single Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation. The solicitation can be found here.

Deadline for Submission

Applications are submitted through OJP’s Grants Management System (GMS) at this link. GMS is a web-based, data-driven computer application that provides cradle-to-grave support for the application, award, and management of awards at OJP and OVW. Applicants must register in GMS for each specific funding opportunity and should begin the process immediately to meet the GMS registration deadline, especially if this is the first time using the system. Complete instructions on how to register and submit an application in GMS can be found here. Early registration allows for ample time for the resolution of difficulties well in advance of the deadline in case they occur.

Once registered with the GMS, begin the application immediately. After registration, those seeking funds will need to complete an application and submit in GMS by 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Applications submitted past the deadline will not be reviewed.
